3.6 million contactless validations

3.6 million contactless validations

Contactless payment has already been validated more than 2 million times after just one year. By the end of 2021, this figure had risen to 3.6 million, reflecting the popularity of this new formula, which is mainly intended for occasional travellers and tourists.

The new grey and blue validators at gates and in vehicles mean that there is no need to buy a ticket in advance. Travellers simply have to wave a contactless bank or credit card or a connected device (smartphone, smartwatch) in front of the validator, and off they go. At the end of the day, the system calculates the price for the day's journeys, with a limit corresponding to the price of the 1-day ticket. This way, customers can be sure that they never pay more than necessary.
