Investments
The STIB has continued with the maintenance, improvement and renewal programme for its network. These investments amounted to 391.5 million euros in 2021.
Among other things, this budget allowed the acquisition of new vehicles and the replacement of tracks. The STIB also invested in the maintenance of its infrastructure and fleet. The investments required for the proper functioning of the public transport network are very varied, from fuel distribution infrastructures to sanitary facilities and from windows to wheel tires.
