The first 100% electric tourist bus service with Tootbus
After more than a year of interruption, the Brussels tourist bus service restarted at the beginning of December. The STIB has entrusted the operation to Tootbus Brussels, a subsidiary of RATP Dev. Two routes are available from the Gare Centrale: the blue line, which travels via the Atomium, Laeken, the Basilica and the city centre, and the red line, which travels via the Art Nouveau district and the European Quarter.
Tootbus has given a new boost to the tourist offer. New audio guides with redesigned content allow passengers to discover Brussels in the company of adopted inhabitants. And children have not been forgotten, with texts created especially for them. Gradually expanded to 6 and 10 languages, the texts written and recorded by native speakers of each language provide a unique cultural perspective for each nationality.
Tootbus also offers customised content through a website and an app that include real-time bus tracking, podcasts and a wealth of information on points of interest.
